 Vista vs. XP
Actually I am a Vista USer at work, and a XP user at home with a dual
boot XP/Ubuntu ssytem and a Mac g5. I don't make comparisons without
having the actual experience. I have been a windows users since 3.10
and a Mac user since 2005.
The crossover cable is a good solution. Its a shame it isnt readily
available information within Vista.

Technically you *can*. MS' EULA says you *may* not.

 Vista vs. XP
You cannot do that because that XP had 1 product key, liscence.. and you
cannot reuse that..
you can buy a cheaper OEM version of XP though..
or if you are a student you can get it for very cheap too

 Vista vs. XP
So, how I'd be wasting money by buying a 'used' program on Amazon?

 Vista vs. XP

For me, I have XP. Wife has a newer computer with Vista.
I see no compelling reason that I would want to switch. I did not look
that close, but at first glance, I don't see any great features that
Vista has that made me want to 'upgrade'.
It looks like with Vista, the OS system is the Star. I always ran my
pc with the understanding that a unobtrusive, reliable, relatively
small- footprint, non-flashy OS- that handled the programs installed,
and facilitates the display of my data to be paramount.
