I didn't say I bought crack *anywhere*. If you knew me, you'd know that
I don't want to die and if I were to do crack, with my health situation,
I would die. That said, I have never had the dubious pleasure of smoking
crack. I don't care for drugs. If you knew me, you'd also know I don't
anywhere near South Central LA.

Yeah, MS wants "Vista Ready" hardware for its Vista.

I have no idea.

More kilos of crack are sold every year in South Central LA. So what if
MS conned 100 million people to buy a POS?

All of them work with Linux Ubuntu. I wonder why HP provides the drivers
for Ubuntu Linux and not Vista? MS doing some strong arming again?

 Vista vs. XP
It is the fault of HP, plain and simple! If HP wanted to support the
scanner they would have delivered an HP driver for Vista. Over 100 million
copies sold. How many of your 3-year old HP scanners were sold?

To those who think Vista wonderful because they do not have problems:
I do not have cancer. Therefore cancer does not exist and no money should be
spent fighting this non-existent problem.
And George Bush is, well, he is the legally elected something of somewhwere:
Anton Scalia says so, and he goes duck hunting with litigants who have cases
pending before his court.

you beat me to it Graham. I really don't know where these naysayers get
their info from.
But to be honest I did have a 3 year old HP scanner that would not work
under vista. Called Hp about it and they said they did not provide MS with a
vista driver and they had no intention of releasing any. So whose fault is
that HP or MS? Maybe monkey brains can shed some light on that!

 Vista vs. XP
Actually I am a Vista USer at work, and a XP user at home with a dual
boot XP/Ubuntu ssytem and a Mac g5. I don't make comparisons without
having the actual experience. I have been a windows users since 3.10
and a Mac user since 2005.
The crossover cable is a good solution. Its a shame it isnt readily
available information within Vista.
