Post The good old ESC key....
Just graduated up to a Vista system (Dell XPS 720). In playing games, I
noticed in Vista when I hit the ESC key to skip an animation it does
nothing. In XP, this was a valued feature for skipping various intro
animations and worked under XP.

Just curious.

This is down to the games themselves. EA Games are notorious for not
letting you skip all the logos, and a lot of games force you to watch them
all the first time you run the game.

Thanks for the reply Paul. Do you mean they tailor it differently
within the code for Vista compared to XP? The same exact game running
under XP allows the ESC - its only in Vista where it does not work.

Vista seems to be a little more advertiser friendly. Perhaps the change you
describe is part of this.
